OBJECT DESCRIPTION

This dinner service consists of six unique patterns which reflect the 200 year history of Limoges' porcelain production. Each set includes a complete service in each pattern.

For this edition, Kosuth removed the original decorative elements of each design leaving only the basic form of each style.  He then added the name of the pattern and the date when the style first appeared on each piece in the artist's chosen typeface, Copperplate Gothic Bold Extended.

The dinner service, which is manufactured in Limoges, comes in two versions: black letters on white porcelain, or platinum letters on black porcelain. Each color version is limited to an edition size of 75 and is signed and numbered.
