Kitchen Towel Set by Chris Ofili

This limited edition lenticular by Ligorano/Reese shifts between the words "for" and "ever" in bright blue and yellow text. It is the fourth piece in Edges, a series of lenticular panels animating words concerned with the limits of space and time.

This beautiful, porcelain table centerpiece doubles as an oval platter and features complimentary images on both sides. The top shows two hands interlaced together, palms up. The underside shows the same hands interlaced but palms down.

In the artist's own words:

"In this project, Prune and I wanted to focus on a man's most essential "tool," his hands, which can function as a drinking cup or as eating utensils. As Darwin put it: "Man could not have attained his present dominant position in the world without the use of his hands." Here, our hands have been photographed.... Prune and I live in New York where we initiated a community of artists that holds big dinners every month. Everybody cooks, everybody brings something. The dinner table is a nerve center where we share a taste for good things, the art of living well!

Designed in collaboration with the artist's estate, this beautifully crafted lacquered tray features a black and white zebra by Victor Vasarely. Vasarely is widely regarded as the father of the Op Art movement, a short-lived but influential movement in the mid 1900s. This tray features one of his most popular images of a black and white zebra from 1939 printed on a black lacquered tray. The artist's signature is featured both on the side and bottom.

The tray comes in a black cotton satchel and cardboard box which presents beautifully for a great gift.
