Drinking Water Glass by Marina Abramovic

Marina Abramovic began her career in the early 1970s. Active for over four decades, her work explores the relationship between performer and audience, the limits of the body, and the possibilities of the mind.  This glass is no exception and provides the user with instructions on how to participate in the performance.

Instructions:
With your hands, hold a glass of pure water.
Wait and look at the water.
In slow motion, bring the glass to your lips.
Drink in small sips as long as you can.
Put the glass down and repeat this activity throughout the day for a minimum of 21 times.
