Jon Kessler is a mixed media sculptor based in New York. Part of a body of work that examines the tensions between the Eastern and Western worlds by combining ancient analog processes with modern technology. Ikebana was originally conceived as a kinetic sculpture. By placing vivid transparencies of traditional ikebana. the 500 ' year old Japanese art form of disciplined flower arrangement. on a mechanized light table. Kessler causes the images to continuously overlap. rendering the ikebana mutable.

There is a minimum purchase price based on the size of the original legend designed by the artist.
